Highlights of 2014

As I look back at our current year, I feel so very blessed to have been able to live every hectic, exciting, thrilling second of it. While it might be challenging to narrow down a whole 365 days of adventure into specific moments, I thought I would try to commemorate the highlights of 2014.

March 9, 2014 I married my best friend, surrounded by other best friends & family that were willing to eat some cake and celebrate with us.
Sipped butterbeers and stood in awe of a magical castle on our honeymoon.
We moved to a new town, a new state, and a new apartment.
Fulfilled our lifetime dream of owning a weenie dog, and she's just as perfect as we imagined (most days).
Took to the mountains and got lost in the woods
Enjoyed our first Christmas together as a family
As clique as it sounds, I am super eager to see what 2015 will bring. The possibility of moving (again) to a new city, finally graduating college, and (hopefully) starting a career are all waiting for us around the corner. I also want to give a big thank you to all my readers/supporters/fellow recipe tasters and fashionistas, for supporting this blog and keeping my sanity in check - cheers!

I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.

So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever
.”
