Make your own 'Banana Dippers'

I don't know what took people so long, but chocolate covered frozen bananas have now hit the shelves in the form of Banana Dippers! The first time I have ever tried a chocolate covered frozen banana was at Disney World as a kid. The concept didn't really appeel (get it, apPEEL ...because...bananas have peels) at the time but when I tasted it, I was transformed into a magical world of chocolate covered fruity goodness. I decided to take it to the next level and incorporate peanut butter, Biscoff spread, and almond butter into the mix but you could use whatever filling you would like....in fact, you could just say heck with the filling I would just like chocolate with a side of chocolate! That would be fine too.

These frozen treats are perfect for these hot summer days when you're craving something sweet but you don't want to over indulge. I wouldn't keep them out too long though because they will start to melt and the bananas will get mushy.

Banana Dippers

2-3 large bananas, sliced
peanut butter, crunchy Biscoff, Nutella, almond butter, whatever type of filling you desire.
1 cup of dark chocolate chips, melted over a *double broiler
crushed nuts for garnish (optional)

Directions:

1.Take banana slices and make banana sandwiches with desired filling like so...

2.Stick banana sandwiches in freezer for at least an hour (you want the bananas super frozen before dipping them in chocolate). While the bananas are freezing, prepare a double broiler by filling a medium sized pan halfway with water and covering with a medium sized bowl like THIS. You want to do this to melt the chocolate because they chocolate will be less likely to burn.

3.To make banana dippers, melt chocolate on medium-low heat and carefully dip bananas halfway in chocolate then place on parchment paper and top with sprinkled nuts. Once bananas are dipped, place in freezer once again for at least an hour.
